Energy Audit Compliance and Results Overview (2021–2024)
Frederick University conducts independent energy audits across all campus buildings every four years, in accordance with the local Energy Efficiency in the Final Use and Energy Services Law of 2009 (31(I)/2009) and the European Parliament and Council Directive 2012/27/EU, which outlines requirements for large organizations. These audits are performed by qualified and accredited experts.
The primary purpose of these energy audits is to assess energy consumption patterns and identify sources of energy waste and inefficiencies. Audit results are communicated to relevant personnel, including Executive Leadership, Campus Managers, Facility Managers, Maintenance Teams, Operations Service, the Sustainability Committee, and Finance Service, to ensure both accountability and transparency. This process is also instrumental in developing strategies to reduce energy consumption and enhance sustainability across the university.
