Ο Δρ Γαρύφαλλος Αναγνώστου είναι Επίκουρος καθηγητής της Φυσικής Αγωγής στο Τμήμα Επιστημών Ζωής και Υγείας του Πανεπιστημίου Frederick. Είναι κάτοχος πτυχίου του Τμήματος Επιστήμης Φυσικής Αγωγής και Αθλητισμού της Εθνικής Αθλητικής Ακαδημίας Σόφιας, όπου συνέχισε τις μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές και έλαβε το διδακτορικό του τίτλο σπουδών (2004) “Theory and Methodology in Physical Education and Sport Training, including the methodology of remedial physical education”. Είναι ιδρυτικό μέλος της Εταιρείας Συστημικών Μελετών Κύπρου και μέλος πολλών επαγγελματικών και επιστημονικών ενώσεων, όπως η Παιδαγωγική Εταιρεία Κύπρου. Έχει εργαστεί σε διάφορες θέσεις όπως: στην Κυπριακή Ομοσπονδία Βόλεϊ (1999). Ως Λέκτορας στο Frederick Institute of Technology (2006) και από το 2007 είναι μέλος ΔΕΠ στο Πανεπιστήμιο Frederick. Έχει διδάξει μαθήματα προπτυχιακά και μεταπτυχιακά στη Σχολή Επιστημών Αγωγής και Κοινωνικών Επιστημών τμήμα δημοτικής εκπαίδευσης και διδάσκει μαθήματα προπτυχιακά στη Σχολή Υγείας και ειδικότερα στο τμήμα Φυσικής Αγωγής και Αθλητισμού Έχει δημοσιεύσεις σε επιστημονικά περιοδικά, παρουσιάσεις σε διεθνή συνέδρια, συμμετάσχει ως προσκεκλημένος ομιλητής σε πολλά εθνικά συνέδρια. Επίσης έχει γράψει ένα βιβλίο με τίτλο «Η φυσική αγωγή στη σχολική ηλικία και η επιλογή ταλέντων». Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα επικεντρώνονται στην ανάπτυξης θετικού κλίματος παρακίνησης στη φυσική αγωγή και τον αθλητισμό, καθώς και με την αξιολόγηση των παραγόντων που σχετίζονται με τη φυσική κατάσταση και υγεία

Garyfallos Anagnostou is an Assistant Professor in Physical Education at the Department of Life and Health Sciences at the Frederick University Cyprus. He has a Diploma in Physical Education and Sports from National Sports Academy, Bulgaria (1997). He continued his postgraduate studies and received the Ph.D. degree in “Theory and Methodology in Physical Education and Athletic Training, including the methodology of remedial physical education” (2004). He has worked at the Cyprus Volleyball federation as regional trainer (1999), at the National Sports Academy (2002), at the Cyprus Sport Organization as the scientific advisor for the national guard teams (2003-2006). As a Lecturer at the Frederick Institute of Technology (2006). Since 2007 he is a faculty member at the Frederick University. He lectures at the undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the School of Education and Social Sciences department, and also at the undergraduate courses taught in the School of Health, specifically in the Physical Education and Sports department. He also lectured at the MA in Educational Studies: Powerful Learning Environments. He has been invited speaker in several national congresses. He is a founding member of the Cyprus Society for Systemic Studies and member of many professional and scientific associations such as the Cyprus Pedagogical Association, Cyprus Scientific Educators’. Association for the Utilization of Information, communication Technologies, Cypriot Trainers Association, Greek Association of Volleyball Trainers, Panhellenic Association of Graduates of Physical Education. His interests relate to developing positive motivational climate in physical education and sport. He published numerous articles and abstractsin refereed journals, conference proceedings, etc. and in 1 book published in Greek. He has acted asthe trainer for volleyball academies and professional volleyball teams
