One of the biggest challenges of the first year is the successful transition and adjustment of students from high school / Army to the University. At Frederick University, we want to ensure the academic success of each student.
Therefore, in addition to the support services we provide to our students during their studies, we offer additional activities before the beginning of the academic year in order to help make the transition from Secondary to Higher Education be as smooth as possible.
Ι. Preparatory Program: 4-26 September, 2024
The Preparatory Program is provided at no cost to incoming students and includes:
- Refresh your knowledge: Free intensive courses such as English, Mathematics, Architectural Design, Physics and others, according to your program of study.
- Empower yourself: Workshops for the development of academic and other skills that will equip you with the fundamental tools needed for a smooth transition to the University.
- Recreational and sports activities: Opportunities to explore, connect, and enjoy yourself through fun and engaging activities.
The first day of the preparatory program is Wednesday, September 4, at 10:00.
For first-year students of the Department of Architecture, the preparatory program will begin on Monday, September 9, at 10:00.

II. First Year Orientation Day:
Limassol Campus: Wednesday, 25 September 2024
Nicosia Campus: Thursday, 26 September 2024
All Fall 2024 new students are expected to attend the Orientation Day.
During the Orientation Day, you will have the opportunity to meet with faculty members of your program of study and with Student Welfare Service representatives. In addition, on the same day, you will register to your Fall 2024 courses and gain access to your semester timetable.
The final Orientation Schedule will be posted online soon.
III. Start of Fall 2024 semester
Fall 2024 classes begin on Monday, September 30, 2024. View the Academic Calendar 2024-25 here in order to find out the important semester dates and deadlines.

A day full of sports activities and fun games! Get your body measurements and useful tips for a balanced diet plan by Nutritionist Kyriakos Christou and a student of the Physical Education and Sport Sciences program. Don't miss the Live Cooking with healthy snack options and useful tips for meal preparation and construction by Chef Valeria Ioannou.
The sports activities and games are designed by students of the Physical Education and Sport Sciences program.
FitFest is organized by the University's Sports Office, the Physical Education and Sport Sciences program, and the University's Counseling Center.

We’re teaming up with International Coaching Federation - Cyprus Chapter - in May 16, 2024 to bring coaching to our community. This event is open to Frederick University students and staff and is taking place on May16 from 10:00 to 13:00 at our Limassol Campus (Room 306).

As another academic year ends, we would like to thank you for your hard work and dedication and invite you to the End of Year Party that will be held on Thursday, May 23, at 20:30, at Guaba Beach Bar in Limassol.
The event is organized by Frederick University with the support of the Frederick Student Union.
On the same day, the Student Athletic Awards will be presented, celebrating the achievement and contributions of our student athletes.

The Cyprus Computer Society (CCS) and the CyberMouflons Cybersecurity Team announce the 7th Cyprus Cyber Security Challenge (CCSC) to be held online from 1-12 May 2024.
Frederick University is one of the competition's sponsors.
The CCSC aims to form the National Team that will represent Cyprus in the respective European Cyber Security Challenge (ECSC). The national competition is open to all ages but only those between the ages of 14-25 years old are eligible to be part of the national team. Young people (with birth years 1999-2010 inclusive) from secondary school students, students, cybersecurity professionals and researchers and hackers. It is noted that beginners and or self-taught people are encouraged to take part in the competition as there will also be introductory exercises for people without experience who wish to test their knowledge and skills in a CTF (Capture the Flag) competition.
The top players of the CCSC, will receive training and will be prepared through the year to represent Cyprus in the European Competition ECSC which will take place on 8-11 October 2024 in Torino, Italy.
The Cyprus cybersecurity team is prepared by mentors-volunteers from the CyberMouflons community who, among other things are coordinating the challenges, the selection of candidates and the training of the top players.
CCSC24 is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Defence, the Commissioner for Communications through the Digital Security Authority, the Cyprus Police and has is approved by the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth.
