Frederick University students can apply for the EU-CONEXUS annual call for cultural and artistic proposals.

If you like arts and cultural projects, then this call is for you! Open to all students of all universities of EU-CONEXUS, the call seeks to identify and accompany one to two artistic projects per university which will promote EU-CONEXUS Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability identity. The projects will then be presented during the next EU-CONEXUS Festival, which will take place at La Rochelle, France, in March 2023.

Individually or in groups, students can submit projects of any kind of artistic disciplines:

- Visual arts (painting, drawing, design, photography, video, …)
- Performing arts (music, dance, drama)
- Fashion
- Literature 

The projects can take various formats as long as they match the expected duration as follows:

Concert (up to 3 – 4 songs)
Wandering (up to 15 – 20 minutes)
Performance (up to 15 – 20 minutes)
Reading (up to 15 – 20 minutes)
Drama play (up to 15 – 20 minutes)
Movie/documentary (up to 15 minutes)
Exhibition 

After a national and European selection process, student(s) whose project has(ve) been selected will be invited to present or perform it during the next EU-CONEXUS Festival.

Deadline for projects submission is 13 January 2023 at midnight (Brussels time)

Frederick University students can apply for the EU-CONEXUS joint Master in Marine Biotechnology, an integrated multidisciplinary program providing high-quality education in the area of marine biotechnology.

The program is offered within the framework of EU-CONEXUS, one of the first transnational European universities to which Frederick University is a full member. 

The program offers:

- essential interdisciplinary training in key topics related to Marine Biotechnology;
- opportunities to specialise within one of the four thematical tracks: (1) Innovative Bioproducts for Future; (2) Blue Biomass; (3) Marine Biorefinery; (4) Aquaculture Biotechnology;
- a tailored study program according to your aspirations via individual professional practice (internship), individual research (academic research integration) and thesis work.

The postgraduate program in Marine Biotechnology gives the students multiple travel options within the alliance, as well.Students are integrated into a multicultural study group and a professional network, offering an immersive system of project-based learning in the ‘real world’ economy.

Join us on Friday, 2nd of December at the AudioVisual Lab (R59) for a unique Astrophotography workshop!

During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn all the basic Photography techniques, how to take better shots taking into considerations your angles, and how to set settings for better quality photos. The highlight of the workshop will be how to shoot the stars.

We are going to have a guest with us, so be at your best behaviour! We will have with us Jessica Sheherlis, a true Frederick alumni, who has some impressive work experience in the UK. Jessica will teach us about some non-techniques to Photography and prepare us to take the most magnifique shots.

The workshop will start at 13:30 and finish by 15:00, so do not be late!
