Welcome to Frederick University!
The first year of study is perhaps considered the most important for the successful path of a student in higher education. One of the biggest challenges of the first year is the successful transition and adjustment of the student from high school / Army to the University. We, at Frederick University, want to ensure the academic success of each student. Therefore, in addition to the support services we provide to all students during their studies, we offer additional activities before the beginning of the academic year in order to help make the transition from Secondary to Higher Education be as smooth as possible.
The Preparatory Program is offered free of charge to incoming students and includes:
- Refreshing knowledge: Free intensive courses such as English, Mathematics, Architectural Design, Physics and others, according to your study program
- Empowerment workshops: Workshops for the development of academic and other skills that will equip you with basic tools for your adaptation to the University
- Recreational and Sports activities where you will have the opportunity to discover, communicate and of course have fun!
The first day of the preparatory program is Monday, September 4, at 10:00. For first year students of the Department of Architecture the preparatory program will begin on Monday, September 11, at 10:00.

II. First Year Orientation Day: Thursday, 28 September 2023
All Fall 2023 new students are expected to attend the Orientation Day. During the Orientation you will have the opportunity to meet with faculty members of your Department and with Student Welfare Service representatives. In addition, on the same day, you will register to your Fall 2023 classes and gain access to your semester timetable.
The final Orientation Schedule will be posted online soon.
III. Start of Fall 2023 semester
Fall 2023 classes begin on Monday, October 2, 2023. View the Academic Calendar 2023-24 here in order to find out the important semester dates and deadlines.

Καλωσορίσατε στο Πανεπιστήμιο Frederick!
Ο πρώτος χρόνος φοίτησης θεωρείται ίσως ο πιο καθοριστικός για την επιτυχημένη πορεία των φοιτητών /-τριών στην τριτοβάθμια εκπαίδευση. Μία από τις μεγαλύτερες προκλήσεις του πρώτου έτους είναι η επιτυχής μετάβαση και προσαρμογή του/της φοιτητή/-τριας από το Λύκειο / Στρατό στο Πανεπιστήμιο. Εμείς, στο Πανεπιστήμιο Frederick, θέλοντας να διασφαλίσουμε όσο το δυνατόν περισσότερο την ακαδημαϊκή σας επιτυχία, πέραν από τις υποστηρικτικές υπηρεσίες που παρέχουμε σε όλους/-ες τους/τις φοιτητές / -τριες κατά τη διάρκεια των σπουδών τους, προσφέρουμε επιπλέον δραστηριότητες, πριν από την έναρξη των μαθημάτων που στοχεύουν στην ομαλή μετάβαση των νεοεισερχόμενων φοιτητών/-τριών από τη Μέση στην Ανώτερη Εκπαίδευση.
I. Προπαρασκευαστικό Πρόγραμμα 4 – 28 Σεπτεμβρίου, 2023
Το Προπαρασκευαστικό Πρόγραμμα προσφέρεται δωρεάν σε νεοεισερχόμενους /-ες φοιτητές/-τριες και περιλαμβάνει:
- Φρεσκάρισμα γνώσεων: Δωρεάν εντατικά μαθήματα όπως Αγγλικά, Μαθηματικά, Αρχιτεκτονικό Σχέδιο, Φυσική και άλλα, σύμφωνα με το πρόγραμμα σπουδών σου
- Εργαστήρια ενδυνάμωσης: Εργαστήρια για ανάπτυξη ακαδημαϊκών και άλλων δεξιοτήτων που θα σου δώσουν βασικά εργαλεία για την προσαρμογή σου στο Πανεπιστήμιο
- Ψυχαγωγικές και Αθλητικές δραστηριότητες όπου θα έχεις την ευκαιρία να ανακαλύψεις, να κοινωνικοποιηθείς και φυσικά να διασκεδάσεις!
Η πρώτη μέρα έναρξης του προπαρασκευαστικού προγράμματος είναι η Δευτέρα, 4 Σεπτεμβρίου, ώρα 10:00. Μόνο για τους/τις φοιτητές/-τριες του Τμήματος Αρχιτεκτονικής το προπαρασκευαστικό πρόγραμμα θα ξεκινήσει τη Δευτέρα, 11 Σεπτεμβρίου στις 10:00.

ΙΙ. Mέρα Υποδοχής και Ενημέρωσης: Πέμπτη, 28 Σεπτεμβρίου, 2023
Όλοι/-ες οι νεοεισερχόμενοι/-ες φοιτητές/ -τριές αναμένεται να συμμετέχουν στη Μέρα Υποδοχής και Ενημέρωσης. Κατά τη διάρκεια της ημέρας θα ενημερωθείτε για όλα τα θέματα που σχετίζονται με τη φοίτησή σας και τις υπηρεσίες του Πανεπιστημίου, θα συναντηθείτε με το διδακτικό προσωπικό του Τμήματός σας όπου θα ενημερωθείτε για το πρόγραμμα σπουδών στο οποίο θα φοιτήσετε και, τέλος, θα δηλώσετε τα μαθήματα που θα παρακολουθήσετε το Χειμερινό εξάμηνο και θα παραλάβετε το ωρολόγιό σας πρόγραμμα.
Περισσότερες πληροφορίες για το πρόγραμμα της Μέρας Υποδοχής και Ενημέρωσης θα ανακοινωθούν στην πορεία.
ΙΙΙ. Έναρξη μαθημάτων Χειμερινού εξαμήνου 2023, Δευτέρα, 2 Οκτωβρίου 2023
Θυμίζουμε ότι τα μαθήματα του Χειμερινού εξαμήνου ξεκινούν τη Δευτέρα, 2 Οκτωβρίου. Δες εδώ το ακαδημαϊκό ημερολόγιο του έτους 2023-24 και ενημερώσου για τις σημαντικές ημερομηνίες του εξαμήνου.

The September revision exam period for the academic year 2022-23, for the distance learning programs, is scheduled on the 8, 9 & 10 of September and will take place online.

Registrations to the courses of the 2nd Examination are carried out electronically through the electronic platform Extranet until August 24, 2023. Any changes after the cut-off date will not be possible.

Η επαναληπτική εξεταστική περίοδος του Σεπτεμβρίου για το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2022-23, για τα εξ αποστάσεως προγράμματα σπουδών, έχει προγραμματιστεί για τις 8, 9 & 10 Σεπτεμβρίου. Οι εξετάσεις θα πραγματοποιηθούν διαδικτυακά με τη χρήση ψηφιακών μεθόδων.

Οι εγγραφές για τα μαθήματα της Β' Εξεταστικής πραγματοποιούνται ηλεκτρονικά μέσω της ηλεκτρονικής πλατφόρμας φοίτησης Extranet και θα διαρκέσουν μέχρι και τις 24 Αυγούστου 2023. Οποιεσδήποτε διαφοροποιήσεις μετά την καταληκτική ημερομηνία δε θα είναι δυνατές.

The results of the Investment Research Competition co-organized by Frederick University and Consulco are out and will be announced during a ceremony at Frederick University on June 9th.
Four winning essays by students of our University’s various Departments will be presented with financial awards.
Professor Eleni Hadjiconstantinou, Dean of the University's School of Business and Law and Mr Marios Hadjiroussos, Managing Director of Consulco Group will address the event and present the awards.
Participating students were asked to carry out extensive research and propose structural changes that can improve the Cyprus investment sector.
The overall competition process was managed by Frederick University’s School of Business and Law.
During the ceremony, the following students will be awarded for their respective essays:
Eleni Demosthenous, MBA student for her essay: “Reforming the Cypriot Tax Framework: The Green Way Forward”
Demetrios Vrekas, BSc Maritime Studies for his essay: “The structural changes required to make Cyprus attractive for Cypriot and foreign investors”
Nader Nader, PhD student, Department of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Informatics
Christy Karam, BSc in Computer Science, for the essay: “The impact of technological developments (such as, crowdfunding, blockchain or Artificial Intelligence) on the investment environment in Cyprus”.
Frederick University congratulates its students and invites everyone to the ceremony which will take place on Friday 9th June at 18:30 at the University's Nicosia campus.

As another academic year ends, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your hard work and dedication and invite you to the End of Year Party that will be held on Thursday, May 25, at 19:00, at Guaba Beach Bar in Limassol.
The event is organized by Frederick University with the support of the Student Union.
Students who wish to participate will need to complete THIS FORM by Friday, May 19.
Free Entry tickets will be available for pick up at the Reception Desk in Nicosia and in Limassol, after May 15. With each ticket you will also get free food and any one free drink of your choice!
For students and staff from Nicosia free transportation will be provided.
*Photography, audio, and video recording may occur during the event. By attending the event, you grant permission to the event organizer to use any photographs, videos, or audio recordings taken of you for promotional and marketing purposes in any media platform.

Καθώς ακόμα μία ακαδημαϊκή χρονιά φτάνει στο τέλος της, θα θέλαμε να σας καλέσουμε στο End of Year Party και να σας ευχαριστήσουμε για τη σκληρή σας δουλειά και αφοσίωση. Το πάρτι θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Πέμπτη, 25 Μαΐου, η ώρα 19:00 στο Guaba Beach Bar στη Λεμεσό.
Μη χάσετ την ευκαιρία να κοινωνικοποιηθείτε με τους/τις συμφοιτητές/τριές σας, τους/τις διδάσκοντες/ουσες και το προσωπικό και να απολαύσετε στιγμές χαλάρωσης πριν από την έναρξη της εξεταστικής περιόδου.
Όσοι/όσες φοιτητές/τριες θα παρευρεθούν θα πρέπει να συμπληρώσουν την Hλεκτρονική Aίτηση Συμμετοχής μέχρι την Παρασκευή, 19 Μαΐου. Εισιτήρια εισόδου θα διατίθενται στους Χώρους Υποδοχής, από τις 15 Μαΐου – 25 Μαΐου, για όσους/όσες δηλώσουν συμμετοχή. Το εισιτήριο είναι απαραίτητο για τη δωρεάν είσοδό σας στο χώρο, για δωρεάν φαγητό και ένα δωρεάν ποτό της επιλογής σας.
Η εκδήλωση διοργανώνεται από το Πανεπιστήμιο Frederick, το Frederick Institute of Technology και τη Φοιτητική Ένωση.
*Για φοιτητές/τριες και προσωπικό από Λευκωσία θα υπάρχει δωρεάν μεταφορικό μέσο. Όσοι/όσες επιθυμούν δωρεάν μεταφορά από Λευκωσία προς Λεμεσό και επιστροφή θα πρέπει να το δηλώσουν στην πιο πάνω αίτηση.
*Κατά τη διάρκεια της εκδήλωσης ενδέχεται να γίνει λήψη φωτογραφιών, ηχογραφήσεων και βίντεο. Συμμετέχοντας στην εκδήλωση, παραχωρείτε άδεια στον διοργανωτή να χρησιμοποιήσει οποιεσδήποτε φωτογραφίες, βίντεο ή ηχογραφήσεις σας για προωθητικούς και διαφημιστικούς σκοπούς σε οποιοδήποτε μέσο επικοινωνίας.
