As another academic year ends, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your hard work and dedication and invite you to the End of Year Party that will be held on Thursday, May 25, at 19:00, at Guaba Beach Bar in Limassol.

The event is organized by Frederick University with the support of the Student Union.

Students who wish to participate will need to complete THIS FORM by Friday, May 19.

Free Entry tickets will be available for pick up at the Reception Desk in Nicosia and in Limassol, after May 15. With each ticket you will also get free food and any one free drink of your choice!

For students and staff from Nicosia free transportation will be provided.

*Photography, audio, and video recording may occur during the event. By attending the event, you grant permission to the event organizer to use any photographs, videos, or audio recordings taken of you for promotional and marketing purposes in any media platform.

Καθώς ακόμα μία ακαδημαϊκή χρονιά φτάνει στο τέλος της, θα θέλαμε να σας καλέσουμε στο End of Year Party και να σας ευχαριστήσουμε για τη σκληρή σας δουλειά και αφοσίωση. Το πάρτι θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Πέμπτη, 25 Μαΐου, η ώρα 19:00 στο Guaba Beach Bar στη Λεμεσό. 

Μη χάσετ την ευκαιρία να κοινωνικοποιηθείτε με τους/τις συμφοιτητές/τριές σας, τους/τις διδάσκοντες/ουσες και το προσωπικό και να απολαύσετε στιγμές χαλάρωσης πριν από την έναρξη της εξεταστικής περιόδου.

Όσοι/όσες φοιτητές/τριες θα παρευρεθούν θα πρέπει να συμπληρώσουν την Hλεκτρονική Aίτηση Συμμετοχής μέχρι την Παρασκευή, 19 Μαΐου. Εισιτήρια εισόδου θα διατίθενται στους Χώρους Υποδοχής, από τις 15 Μαΐου – 25 Μαΐου, για όσους/όσες δηλώσουν συμμετοχή. Το εισιτήριο είναι απαραίτητο για τη δωρεάν είσοδό σας στο χώρο, για δωρεάν φαγητό και ένα δωρεάν ποτό της επιλογής σας.

Η εκδήλωση διοργανώνεται από το Πανεπιστήμιο Frederick, το Frederick Institute of Technology και τη Φοιτητική Ένωση.

*Για φοιτητές/τριες και προσωπικό από Λευκωσία θα υπάρχει δωρεάν μεταφορικό μέσο. Όσοι/όσες επιθυμούν δωρεάν μεταφορά από Λευκωσία προς Λεμεσό και επιστροφή θα πρέπει να το δηλώσουν στην πιο πάνω αίτηση.

*Κατά τη διάρκεια της εκδήλωσης ενδέχεται να γίνει λήψη φωτογραφιών, ηχογραφήσεων και βίντεο. Συμμετέχοντας στην εκδήλωση, παραχωρείτε άδεια στον διοργανωτή να χρησιμοποιήσει οποιεσδήποτε φωτογραφίες, βίντεο ή ηχογραφήσεις σας για προωθητικούς και διαφημιστικούς σκοπούς σε οποιοδήποτε μέσο επικοινωνίας.

Frederick University, in cooperation with the Blood Bank of the Ministry of Health and with the support of the Cyprus Red Cross Society - Limassol Branch, organizes a voluntary blood donation on Tuesday, 16th of May 2023, from 10:00 to 12:00, at the Limassol Campus.

We encourage all eligible donors to participate and help save lives. As a token of appreciation, every donor will receive a Blood Donor Certificate.

Frederick University announces the start of the application process for the Michael Frederickou Excellence Awards  for the Academic Year 2022-23. * Για Ελληνικά πατήστε εδώ For the third consecutive year, students can nominate and can be nominated for the Michael Frederickou Excellence Awards in three categories. The awards are given in memory of the Founder of the University, Michael Frederickou, and aim to recognize and honor the actions that promote his values: excellence in teaching, research and contribution to society as a whole.  The Awards will be awarded during the Academic Excellence Awards Ceremony that will take place on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 20:00 in the Nicosia Municipality Theatre. I. Students can nominate faculty members, fellow students and alumni in the following categories: (a) Teaching Excellence Awards (for faculty members) (b) Outstanding Student or Graduate (for current students or Frederick graduates). II. Students (and graduates) can submit a self-nomination and/or be nominated in the following two categories: (a) Sustainable Development Goals Actions Award (b ) Outstanding Student or Graduate (same as above) Teaching Excellence Awards  A series of awards will be granted to academic staff that have taught in the current academic year. The awards will be granted on specific criteria that reflect the University goals with particular emphasis on student-centered learning and innovation in higher education teaching. Criteria Submissions should demonstrate how the nominee’s activities contribute to a substantial number of the dimensions below:(a) is available to students; interacts effectively with students beyond the classroom (i.e. office hours, advising etc);(b) is helpful to, supportive of and takes a personal interest in students; addresses individual student needs(c) uses creative or innovative instructional techniques that promote the active participation of students; (d) utilizes an interdisciplinary teaching approach and implements instructional activities that build connections between different fields of study / disciplines(e) demonstrates their enthusiasm for their subject and delivers content in a way that motivates students;(f) inspires confidence and supports students sense of purpose in relation to their studies and career aspirations; (g) organizes and presents subject matter in ways that interest and stimulate students;(h) inspires curiosity, creativity and a love of learning through their teaching;(i) engages and inspires students in independent, critical and original thinking;(k) creates an inclusive and supportive classroom environment for all students regardless of personal or ethnic characteristics;(l) helps students connect and integrate with University and campus community. Nomination Procedures and Deadlines To nominate a faculty member for the Teaching Excellence Awards, the nomination must be supported by at least three students (one nomination form to be completed from all students). Outstanding Student or Graduate Criteria An award celebrating an outstanding achievement of a Frederick University student or graduate with emphasis on its impact on the community. To nominate a fellow Frederick student or a Frederick graduate you must submit the relevant Nomination Form found here by Thursday, May 25 2023. Sustainable Development Goals Actions Award The University will award: - practices or activities from Frederick University faculty, staff, students and alumni that show significant impact with respect to SDGs or - outstanding individuals (Frederick University faculty, staff, students and alumni) who are demonstrating that it is up to us to inspire and enact change. Criteria Submissions should demonstrate how the nominee’s activities contribute to at least one of the following:- Mobilize others to act for the SDGs,- inspire a shift in behaviour for the SDGs,- connect people and/or diverse partners, bridging the gap between citizens and institutions, to increase progress on the SDGs. Multiple awards may be given for actions relating to different SDGs. Nomination Procedures and Deadlines Any member of the academic community is eligible for this award (faculty members, administrative staff, students & graduates).
